Amity Coast LLC is an independent software company in San Francisco. We design, build, and operate software for individuals, families, and small organizations: the people who need real tools and will never sign an enterprise contract.

Most software is designed for the organization that buys it, not the person who uses it. We start from the other end.

    The unit we design for is a person, a family, or a small organization, not a procurement department. Good defaults instead of configuration. Playbooks instead of checklists.

    Open standards

    Open protocols and open formats over proprietary lock-in. Where it makes sense, the code is open source under a license that keeps it that way.

    Infrastructure we operate ourselves

    We run our products on infrastructure we operate, with the access controls, logging, and review gates you would expect from a much larger company. Being small is not a reason to be careless.
